Details: The hand weaving process used to generate this chevron weave confers a sensation of fullness and a matt appearance: its irregularity adds a touch of austerity. Craftsmanship, hand-spinning, and clay-like colours accentuate a profound textural nature; rigour and formality accompany the personality of pure silk. The weft threads of wild silk from Assam, on the slopes of the Himalayas, are hand spun and irregular in their thickness and colour. The lighter and more even warp threads create the herringbone effect. Suitable for curtains and decorative applications.
